FREE TRAINING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT K-9 TEAMS
The Space Coast Police K-9 Foundation is pleased to announce a three-day Decoy Training Seminar specifically designed for law enforcement K-9 handlers and sworn K-9 support personnel. This hands-on training will focus on safe, effective decoy techniques that build stronger, more reliable working dogs.
Seminar Details
• Dates: May 4-6, 2026 (three 10-hour days)
• Location: Brevard County Sheriff's Office K-9 Training Facility, 855 Camp Road, Cocoa, FL
• Host: Space Coast Police K-9 Foundation
• Cost: The cost for law enforcement K-9 teams is fully covered by the Space Coast Police K-9 Foundation. (meals and lodging on your own)
Instructor
Hank Wong – Retired LEO K-9/SWAT and subject matter expert with over 20 years at Orlando Police Department and 14 years as a K-9 handler and head trainer, FDLE-certified K-9 trainer/evaluator, and explosives detection K-9 specialist.
Training Format and Capacity
• 14 team spots available for active decoys/K-9 teams
• 12 audit spots available decoy only sworn K-9 support personnel
• Training will cover decoy fundamentals and safety, reading and enhancing K-9 drive, scenario-based problem solving, and best practices for patrol and detection K-9 deployments.
